20 Weeks!

Well, we're coming up on 21 weeks of Pregnancy now and both peanut and Ashley are doing great! We just had our 20 week sonogram yesterday and Baby Schot was very camera shy! Every time we tried to get a good look peanut either turned away from the camera or even held both its hands up in front if its face! At one point Ashley asked the Nurse if she knew what sex the baby was and she said "yes, I know". I think the looks on both our faces were priceless. This not finding out thing is going to be challenging!

Even though our little guy or gal was not ready for its close up yet we still got a good look at its spine which was in great shape. Heart beat was strong at 154 bpm and we were told our little joy is weighing in at about 15 ounces right now. The length is estimated at about 10", which is about the length of a banana. Right now peanut sleeps around 10-14 hours a day but in cycles of around 30 minutes at a time. He/She is just big enough that Ashley can feel some kicking around but only when baby is in the right position. In about 3 or 4 more weeks it will be big enough to really let Ashley know how much it's moving around.

As for baby momma Ashley is amazing. She is taking such good care of our little baby already. Aside from some lower back pain which is primarily from the joints and tendons moving around to start preparation for the birthing process she has been well. I'm continually in deep thought at how if Men were in charge of carrying babies the world population would likely be about 17. As strong as we think we are Women really are much stronger!

That's all for now but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! More to come soon I promise!

Love,
Ashley, Justin & Peanut!
